The ELAC 301.2 redefines the standard for small systems and brings the technology of a much larger, high end speaker in a tiny package. This is possible due to the optimized driver with an oval aluminium sandwich woofer stacked with a silk fabric dome tweeter in an asymmetrical coaxial array. The advantage is a wider ideal listening zone and a sound with a quality that becomes wonderfully detached from the speakers and which is less depending on the listeners position. Incidentally the size of the woofer was maximized which contributes to the maximum possible SPL and ultimately enables this kind of performance at the small size given.
